Oh La La... Abbie turned 3!

For as long as I can remember my girly girl Abbie has been into poodle dogs and all glamorous things, and so this year she chose to have an Ooh La La birthday party. Here are the bags I put together for all the girls! The girls got all dressed up in pettiskirts and boas.

I made poodle ears for all the boys so they could be the girls dogs.

Here are the dog dishes i made for the kids to eat from.

You can't have an Ooh La La party without a chocolate fountain!

These little cupcakes are to die for! (if anyone wants information about them let me know)Abbie and Megan sitting in her new Mustang.

I'm so glad Abigail is in our family, she brings so much joy into our family. We wouldn't be complete without you!

Where did the summer go??? I can't believe it has been 4 months since my last blog post. I have debated whether or not to catch my blog up with all we have been up to, and decided I should so I will remember what we did a year from now. So the next few weeks I hope to catch myself up. I will start off with a quick post of our Easter weekend.

We had a fabulous Easter this year as always. My Brother and his family came into town to visit. They came with us to Antelope Island for an Easter Egg Hunt, face painting, a fishing pond and pictures with the Easter Bunny!
There were so many cute spots here to take pictures.
Look what the Easter bunny brought!
Thanks Jared and Christy for making Easter extra fun this year.

Dinner with 2 cute leprechaun's

We had a fabulous St. Patti's day dinner this year. Here are the 2 cute leprechaun's we ate with.
Every year I try to do our entire meal green (excluding the meat), along with an activity. This year we had corned beef, green mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, clover shaped garlic parmesan bread sticks and green punch. Here it is, looks a little scary but still tasted good.If any of you have a family tradition you do on St. Patrick's day I would love to hear about it.

A SnOwY DaY

makes for a perfect day to make snowmen inside the house.
We started off by making snowmen puppets,
and finished with snowmen sugar cookies! This sounded much better than going out in the cold!

I'M BACK!!!

AD-DIC-TION [uh-dik-shuhn]

the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

SELF-CONTROL.... WILL POWER...... Yeah I had none of this!! But I'm back, not only to blogging but to being a friend, a sister, a daughter, a responsible adult but most important, a wife and a mother again. A week ago I made the mistake of picking up Twilight (the book Travis had given me for Christmas) and started reading it, thinking to my self that I should show some appreciation for my gift. Like I said before BIG MISTAKE(even though I loved every minute of it)...I started reading and reading and kept reading and reading and reading. In fact I went a head and not only read Twilight but the whole entire Twilight Saga, all 2,444 pages in one week. As you can see it was a major addiction for me. So your probably asking yourselves right about now, what were your kids doing while I read for a straight week?......Well let me tell you, they watched TV, played with toys, watched TV, played the wii, watched TV and watch some more TV. ( yes I know, you don't have to tell me what a horrible mother I am. But I just could not put these books down.)

For instance here is a little conversation between Cameron and I .....

Cameron- Mom are you reading again?

Me- Yes sweety (while thinking to myself "yes go help yourself to whatever it is your wanting, just as long as you let me read. I'm at a really good part right now!")

Cameron- But you always read now, morning night, morning night, morning night.

Me- Oh really. (once again thinking to myself "you noticed, dang it") I know sweety but I'm almost done, I promise will do something real fun when I'm done.
Cameron- OK Mommy

I know, how pathetic am I!

So now I ask all of you who have read the Twilight Saga

  • are you a Edward or Jacob fan?

  • which was your favorite book?

  • were any of you just as a addicted as I was?

I want to thank my wonderful husband and kids for letting me take a week off to get lost into such a great book. I think everyone needs this from time to time!

Our Christmas Traditions

I know it's kinda late to be posting this, but better late than never (oh and be prepared....it's kind of a long one). Once again we had a wonderful Christmas. This year we tried see as many Christmas lights as possible, seeing how my kids love them. We managed to make it to the zoo lights, temple square, Ogden lights and west haven lights, I really wanted to take my kids to Willard lights and the polar express, however we ran out of time (maybe next year).

sorry....lots from the zoo lights. There where so many animated lights, and things for kids to climb in and on. They especially loved going on the carousel.

We first began celebrating this wonderful season with my in laws, where they spoiled my kids rotten. My kids are so lucky to have such amazing grandparents on both sides. We don't know what we would do without you, we love you all so much!

Next we celebrated with my parents, where we got ready for Santa to come. A tradition of my parents has been to buy matching pajamas for all of their grandkids to open on Christmas eve.

Don't they look so cute!

A tradition we started this year......Rockin' around the Christmas tree!

Then off to make cookies for Santa.

I don't know who was more excited for Christmas morning to come, me or my kids (I love to see the look on their faces as they walk into the room and see what Santa brought them).

The kids woke us up at 7 and we were off to see what Santa had left. Of course Santa came through and got the kids just what they wanted. Here is Cameron with Spike the Dinosaur. This is quite a cool dinosaur, I highly recommend it for all of you that have boys out there.

And Abbie with her new horse Flicka. I really wanted to make the horse look as girly as possible, so i turned to my in laws for some help. They made all the accessories for the horse. They really out did themselves, It looks beautiful. Abbie just loves her new best friend.

My parents spoiled me once again and got me the camera I really wanted. I asked for a gift card to go towards one and to my surprise this is what i opened.

Although I haven't quite learned how to use this camera yet, I sure have fallen in love with it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas as we did, and hope many good things to come to all of you in the new year!

Happy Holidays
